Chronological resume



Chronological resumes highlight the progression in any career advancement being easy to understand and to read it; this is the reason why it is the most accepted and preferred format by the hiring authorities.
According to its format, your employment history must be in reverse chronological order starting with your most recent positions. In fact, this type of resume fits more with those searchers that have a consistent and solid work history.


Content:
  • Personal information header
  • Objective
  • Qualifications
  • Experiences (optional).
  • Professional Experience.
  • Education, including specific training and/or skills.
  • More others like Honours, Affiliations, etc. (optional)

Used when:
  • Most experience is focused in just one field.
  • Consecutive career background or similar distinction among next jobs.
  • Small work history but big experience in competitive areas.
  • Changeless track record with minor lapses in employment.
  • Planned to stay in the same field.

Tips:
  • Write about the closer and more related jobs to your current work goal.
  • Avoid including a too long list of your jobs.
  • Start with your most recent job; remember to follow the reverse chronological order.
