Similar to the Chronological resume type, a Curriculum Vitae (CV) contains almost all information about the applicant according to his/her profession; including board memberships, hospital affiliations, presentations, research, publications, etc. Generally, CVs are used by physicians, scientists, educators, attorneys, researchers, etc; however, CVs are different according to the country.

- Current occupation.
- Phone number(s)
- Date of birth.
- Driving license (optional)
- Secondary and Higher Education including the name, address and qualifications.
- Professional qualifications.
- Employment history.
- More other information such as position responsibilities, interests, volunteer work and study, achievements, aptitudes, goals, etc.
- Referees (optional)
Used when:
- Apply to education, academic, research position or scientific positions.
- Look for some fellowships or grants.
- According to the country.
Tips:
- Write using a clear format easy to understand and read.
- Do not write it too long or too short.
- Include photos only when it is required or necessary.
- Focus your writing on experiences and achievements needed for a better future.
- Write about your strengths that imply importance for the readers not for you; including a simple list of your knowledge, achievements, aptitudes, skills, records, etc.
- Do not use full sentences because there is no conventional grammar for CVs.
- Avoid using the first person, tables or text boxes, unless you are very young.
- Watch for some repeatable words or action verbs used when listing.
