Functional resume



This type of resume is focused on the goals, accomplishments and skills of the applicants. Commonly, a functional resume does not include names of the companies, dates of employment or position titles. Despite it is not very useable; if it is correctly used, can be an excellent marketing tools.


Content:
  • Personal information header.
  • Objective.
  • Qualifications.
  • Experience.
  • List of work history, not including descriptions.
  • Education and others, including specific training and/or skills.

Used when:
  • Changeable careers with discontinues employments.
  • Short employment history.
  • Return to the workforce.
  • Not match between the background and the desired job.
  • Volunteer work and hobbies have extensive achievements.

Tips:
  • Focus on work objective, aptitudes and goals.
  • Emphasize in those skills you have for using in different settings.
  • Center your writing in your job goals trying to not include anything unrelated to it .
